By car:

You can reach us from both the North Shore and Chicago via Sheridan Road. From Sheridan, turn west onto Dempster and go about three blocks to Chicago Avenue. Turn right and the Gallery will be on your left.

From Chicago, you can also take Clark Street north, which becomes Chicago Avenue as you cross into Evanston at Howard Street. Follow Chicago Avenue and the Gallery will be on your left just past Dempster Street.

If you are coming via Green Bay Road from the north, take Green Bay until it becomes Ridge Avenue. From Ridge, turn left on Greenwood Street. Take Greenwood to Chicago Avenue and turn right. The Gallery will be on your right.

Coming from the south on Ridge, turn right onto Dempster Street and go to Chicago Avenue. Turn left, and the Gallery will be on your left.

Another option is the Edens Expressway (94), located about 3.5 miles west of us. Take the Dempster Street exit and go east on Dempster to Chicago Avenue. Turn left, and the Gallery will be on your left.

There is also a Dempster Street exit off of the 294 Tri-State Tollway but coming from the south only. Coming from the north on 294, take the Golf Road exit. Turn left at the traffic light and left again onto Golf. Take Golf to Waukegan Avenue and turn right. Take Waukegan to Dempster Street and turn left. Follow Dempster all the way to Evanston. At Chicago Avenue, turn left. The Gallery will be on your left.

Parking

Metered parking is available on Chicago Avenue and Dempster Street and in the lots marked on the map below. Free parking is available on side streets.

By train:

The CTA train, known locally as the "El," stops at Dempster Street, a block from the Gallery (see maps below). For more information, call (312) 836-7000 or look for schedule and route information for the Purple Line (Linden-Loop) on the CTA's Web site. (The Purple Line runs express to and from downtown Chicago during rush hour on weekdays. At all other times, Evanston riders must transfer at Howard Street to the Red Line, which runs between Howard and downtown Chicago.)

The Metra train is also convenient -- it stops four blocks south of us at Main Street and six blocks north of us at Davis Street in downtown Evanston (see maps below). From the Main Street stop, walk east to Chicago Avenue and follow Chicago north. From the Davis Street stop, walk east on Davis to Chicago Avenue. Turn right onto Chicago and follow it until you get to the Gallery. For more information, call (312) 836-7000 or go to the Metra Web site. By bus:

The 201 CTA bus stops on the corner of Dempster Street and Chicago Avenue, a few doors south of the Gallery. The route runs from Central Street and Crawford Avenue through downtown Evanston to the Howard Street CTA train station. Call (312) 836-7000 for a schedule.
